Azure AI Engineer

Desired Competencies (Technical/Behavioral Competency)

Azure AI Foundry, Microsoft Fabric Data Agents, RAG and Agentic AI, integrating solutions with Microsoft Teams, Power BI security, Row-Level Security (RLS), Secured governed AI assistant, Azure identity and authorization controls

Responsibility of / Expectations from the Role

Agentic Architecture & AI Delivery

• Design and implement a master orchestrator agent in Azure AI Foundry
• Build data specialist agents using the Microsoft Fabric Data Agent framework
• Implement agent-to-agent orchestration, routing user queries to the correct specialist agents
• Enable responses grounded in Fabric semantic models used by Power BI

Security & Governance (Critical)

• Design and enforce row-level security (RLS) at the semantic model layer
• Ensure AI agents fully respect and inherit semantic-layer security rules
• Implement identity-aware query execution, ensuring users only see data they are authorized to access
• Apply Azure security best practices, including:
• Azure AD / Entra ID authentication
• Role-Based Access Control (RBAC)
• Managed identities for agents and services
• Secure service-to-service communication
• Support a strong governance and RAG security layer to prevent data leakage or privilege escalation

Integration & User Experience

• Integrate the master agent into Microsoft Teams as the primary user interface
• Support optional embedding into web applications or SharePoint
• Ensure secure session handling and user-context propagation from Teams to Fabric

Platform & Collaboration

• Work with early-stage or near-GA Microsoft AI technologies
• Collaborate with BI, data platform, and security teams
• Align AI outputs with enterprise reporting and compliance standards
