Application Management Services (AMS) Axway Managed File Transfer & B2Bi Specialist

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced professional for the role of Axway Managed File Transfer (MFT) and B2Bi Specialist within our Application Management Services (AMS) team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and enhancing Axway MFT and B2Bi platforms, ensuring seamless business-to-business integration and secure file transfers across the organisation and with external partners.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing support and maintenance for Axway MFT and B2Bi platforms, including incident management, problem resolution, and service request fulfilment.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to file transfers, integrations, and partner connectivity.
• Perform system health checks, routine maintenance, and upgrades to ensure platform stability and security.
• Manage onboarding and configuration of new trading partners in the B2Bi environment, including mapping and validation of EDI/XML/flat file formats.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure successful data exchange and compliance with business requirements.
• Document technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for knowledge management and process improvement.
• Participate in change management processes, including impact analysis, testing, and deployment of changes to Axway platforms.
• Support audits and compliance activities related to data transfers and integration processes.
• Work with the security team to implement and maintain secure file transfer protocols and encryption standards.
• Proactively identify areas for improvement in performance, reliability, and automation within Axway MFT/B2Bi operations.

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 6+ years of hands-on experience with Axway Managed File Transfer (MFT) and B2Bi platforms in an enterprise environment.
• Strong understanding of file transfer protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, AS2, etc.) and integration technologies (EDI, XML, API, Web Services).
• Experience in monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues in MFT/B2Bi systems.
• Proficiency in scripting (Shell, Python) and automation for operational efficiency.
• Knowledge of ITIL processes and experience working in an AMS or managed services environment.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, multi-cultural team.

Preferred Qualifications

• Axway certifications in MFT and/or B2Bi.
• Experience with cloud-based integration solutions and hybrid environments.
• Exposure to regulatory compliance standards (GDPR, ISO27001) related to data transfers.
• Prior experience in onboarding trading partners and mapping EDI transactions.
