Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced AWS Solutions Architect to design, build, and scale cloud-native applications using microservices architecture , API-driven design , and container orchestration . The role requires deep expertise in AWS services , Infrastructure as Code (IaC) , and data management , with a strong focus on security, scalability, performance, and cost optimization.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Architecture & AWS

• Design and implement scalable, highly available, and secure architectures on AWS
• Select appropriate AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, S3, etc.)
• Lead architectural reviews and provide best-practice guidance to engineering teams
• Ensure cost-effective solutions using AWS Well-Architected Framework

Microservices & API Design

• Design and evolve microservices-based architectures
• Define RESTful / GraphQL APIs and API versioning strategies
• Implement API security, throttling, and monitoring using API Gateway / ALB
• Support service discovery, inter-service communication, and resiliency patterns

Containerization & Orchestration

• Design and manage containerized workloads using Docker
• Orchestrate containers using Amazon EKS or ECS
• Implement autoscaling, rolling deployments, and zero-downtime releases
• Define CI/CD pipelines for containerized applications

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Build and manage cloud infrastructure using Terraform / AWS CloudFormation / CDK
• Enforce repeatable, version-controlled, and automated deployments
• Implement environment strategies (dev, staging, prod)

Data Management

• Design data architectures using SQL and NoSQL databases
• Work with RDS, Aurora, DynamoDB, Redshift, OpenSearch
• Define data migration, backup, and disaster recovery strategies
• Ensure data security, compliance, and performance optimization

Security & Governance

• Implement IAM policies, VPC design, encryption, and secrets management
• Ensure compliance with security standards and best practices
• Perform threat modeling and architecture risk assessments

Required Skills & Qualifications

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services
• Expertise in microservices architecture
• Proficiency in API design (REST/GraphQL)
• Hands-on experience with Docker & Kubernetes (EKS preferred)
• Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code
• Solid understanding of databases and data modeling
• Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, AWS CodePipeline)
• Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana)

Programming & Scripting

• Proficiency in at least one language: Python, Java, Node.js, or Go
• Experience with automation and scripting

Nice to Have

• AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect Associate/Professional)
• Experience with event-driven architectures (SQS, SNS, EventBridge, Kafka)
• Knowledge of serverless architectures
• Exposure to DevSecOps practices
• Experience in high-scale or enterprise environments
