AWS DevSecOps Engineer

We are looking for an experienced AWS DevSecOps Engineer to embed security into every stage of the software development lifecycle. This role combines expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure, DevOps automation, and cybersecurity to ensure secure, compliant, and resilient environments.

Experience Required

Location: Hyderabad (Hybrid 3 Days WFO)

Notice Period : Immediate

710 years of overall DevOps / Cloud Security experience

Minimum 4+ years in AWS DevSecOps

Hands-on experience managing AWS production environments

Role Overview

The AWS DevSecOps Engineer will be responsible for securing AWS infrastructure, automating compliance, integrating security into CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring continuous monitoring and threat management.

Key Responsibilities

AWS Security & Infrastructure

Secure AWS resources such as:

EC2, EKS, ECS, EMR

S3, RDS, EFS

Lambda, CloudFront, Kinesis

RabbitMQ

VPC Peering

Implement:

IAM least privilege access

Service Control Policies (SCPs)

KMS encryption

Secrets Manager

SSO

Configure AWS-native security tools:

WAF, Shield

Inspector, Macie

CloudTrail, Config, Security Hub

Fastly CDN, Signal Sciences

DevSecOps & Automation

Integrate security checks into CI/CD pipelines (Bamboo, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)

Automate compliance and security testing using:

Terraform

Ansible

Kubernetes

Docker

Implement SAST, DAST, dependency scanning, and container image scanning

Develop and enforce security policies mapped to Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Monitoring & Incident Response

Implement continuous monitoring and alerting

Work with SIEM tools:

New Relic

Splunk

ELK

Datadog

Prometheus

Grafana

Conduct penetration testing & threat modelling

Collaborate with DevOps & Security teams for incident response

Cloud Optimization

Ensure encryption at rest and in transit

Harden VPC architecture, routing, SG/NACLs

Manage multi-account AWS environments

Optimize performance, scalability, and cost

Essential Skills

Strong experience with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation

Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), Microservices Architecture

Strong CI/CD & security automation knowledge

Good understanding of networking concepts and AWS IAM roles/policies

Desirable Skills

Proficiency in Python, Bash, or Go

Experience with identity governance and IT security audits

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience with DevOps pipelines (Bamboo preferred)
