Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced AWS Migration Lead with strong expertise in Kubernetes and AWS cloud technologies to lead and support cloud-native application deployments and migration initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with AWS EKS, Kubernetes operations, Helm, and observability tools , along with a solid understanding of cloud networking, security, and CI/CD pipelines.

This role requires a proactive individual who can work closely with development, platform, and security teams to ensure scalable, secure, and reliable cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support application migration and modernization efforts on AWS.
• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes clusters with a focus on performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Build, manage, and maintain Helm charts for Kubernetes deployments.
• Implement and manage Istio service mesh for traffic management, security, and observability.
• Manage and optimize AWS services including EKS, EC2, S3, RDS, DocumentDB, and ELB .
• Monitor system performance and reliability using Prometheus and Grafana .
• Troubleshoot complex issues across Kubernetes, AWS infrastructure, and application layers.
• Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to implement GitLab CI/CD pipelines .
• Ensure best practices for cloud security , access control, and compliance.
• Work with caching solutions like Redis for performance optimization.
• Create and maintain automation scripts using Bash, Python, or similar scripting languages .
• Document architecture, processes, and operational guidelines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in cloud, DevOps, or platform engineering roles.
• Deep expertise in Kubernetes (deployment, scaling, upgrades, and troubleshooting).
• Strong hands-on experience with Helm charts .
• Solid knowledge of Istio service mesh .
• Proven experience with AWS EKS and core AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, ELB, DocumentDB).
• Hands-on experience with Prometheus and Grafana for monitoring and alerting.
• Good understanding of Kubernetes and cloud networking concepts .
• Experience using GitLab CI/CD tools.
• Familiarity with Redis for caching and data management.
• Strong scripting skills in Bash, Python, or similar languages .
• Good understanding of security best practices for cloud-native applications.

Nice to Have

• Experience leading or mentoring teams.
• Exposure to large-scale cloud migrations.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
