Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced AWS Data Engineer with strong expertise in Spark and PySpark development to build and optimize scalable data pipelines. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with big data processing frameworks and working knowledge of AWS data services such as EMR, Glue, and Lambda.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using Spark and PySpark.
• Process large datasets efficiently in a distributed computing environment.
• Work with AWS services like EMR, Glue, and Lambda for data processing and orchestration.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for data ingestion, transformation, and storage.
• Collaborate with data analysts, data scientists, and product teams to deliver reliable data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, performance tuning, and optimization of Spark jobs.
• Implement best practices for data engineering and cloud architecture.

Required Skills

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering / Big Data development.
• Strong coding experience in Python with PySpark and Apache Spark.
• Experience working with large-scale distributed data processing systems.
• Hands-on exposure to AWS services such as EMR, Glue, and Lambda (basic to intermediate level acceptable).
• Good understanding of ETL pipelines and data processing frameworks.
• Experience with data modeling and performance optimization.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with AWS data ecosystem.
• Knowledge of SQL and data warehousing concepts.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
