Our Next Hire is for AWS Cloud & Linux Server Administrator


Role: AWS Cloud & Linux Server Administrator

Location Chennai

Experience: 1.5 Years - 3 Years

Notice Period: Immediate Joiners


We are looking for a dedicated and skilled AWS Cloud & Ubuntu Linux Server Administrator with at least 1.5 years of hands-on experience managing cloud infrastructure and Linux environments. The candidate will be responsible for maintaining high availability, performance, and security of cloud-hosted applications, monitoring infrastructure, taking regular backups, and ensuring all systems meet defined Service Level Agreements (SLA).

Key Responsibilities:


Deploy, configure, and manage AWS EC2 instances with Ubuntu Linux servers.


Setup, manage, and optimize AWS MySQL RDS databases.


Configure and maintain AWS Application Load Balancers for traffic distribution and scalability.


Monitor server health and uptime using AWS CloudWatch and Zoho Site24x7.


Perform regular server and database backups; ensure backup validation and restoration processes.


Prepare weekly and monthly reports on:


Website performance


Server performance


Uptime and downtime analysis


Resource utilization and trends


Ensure infrastructure compliance with SLA requirements and respond to incidents within defined timelines.


Troubleshoot server issues, conduct root cause analysis, and apply patches/updates.


Implement server hardening and security best practices on Ubuntu Linux.


Maintain clear and up-to-date system documentation.

Required Skills:


Minimum 1.5 years of hands-on experience with AWS services and Ubuntu Linux administration.


Strong experience in:


AWS EC2, MySQL RDS, and Application Load Balancer


AWS CloudWatch and Zoho Site24x7 monitoring tools


Proficiency in managing Linux-based environments (especially Ubuntu).


Ability to generate accurate and insightful performance and availability reports.


Experience with automated backup and recovery processes.


Understanding of ITIL practices and meeting SLA-based support metrics.


Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., Bash, Shell scripting).

Preferred Skills (Optional but a Plus):


AWS Certification (e.g., AWS Certified SysOps Administrator or Solutions Architect)
