AWS Cloud Engineer

Location - Pan India

Key Responsibilities

1. Cloud Strategy & Architecture

• Develop and drive the organizations cloud adoption roadmap and cloud strategy.
• Design secure, scalable, and resilient cloud architectures across public, private, and hybrid environments.
• Evaluate and recommend cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) based on business and technical needs.

2. AWS Cloud Operations

• Strong understanding and handson experience with core AWS services including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, Auto Scaling, Load Balancers, CloudTrail, and related operational services.
• Manage and monitor AWS infrastructure to ensure performance, availability, cost optimization, and security.
• Troubleshoot AWS resources, implement best practices, and automate operational tasks to improve efficiency.
• Ensure compliance, governance, and security posture across AWS environments.

3. Cloud Platform & Infrastructure Management

• Manage cloud infrastructure components including compute, storage, networking, identity, and platform services.
• Oversee cloud operations, monitoring, DR readiness, and performance optimization.

4. Cloud Migration

• Lead migrations of applications, data, and workloads to the cloud.
• Assess existing systems and plan migration phases, readiness, and cutover.

5. Cloud SRE Responsibilities

• Install, configure, run, and maintain DHS services in cloud environments.
• Identify automation opportunities to reduce deployment time and MTTR (Mean Time to Repair).
• Drive incident management, RCA, and minimize service or cyber incident impact.
• Enable smooth Engineering-to-Operations (E2O) transition, ensuring service readiness.

6. Deployment & Customer Coordination

• Lead deployment strategy, environment planning, installation, and configuration using DHS services.
• Collaborate closely with DigiOps/GEHC project managers to ensure smooth go-live execution.
• Coordinate with Lead Service Integrators (LSIs) for service transition, handover, and support.

7. Cost, Security & Compliance

• Monitor and optimize cloud spend across environments.
• Ensure security compliance and implement cloud governance and best practices.

8. Continuous Improvement & Innovation

• Stay updated on new cloud technologies, tools, and industry trends.
• Recommend architectural enhancements, automation, and process improvements.

Key Skills & Expertise

Technical Skills

• Cloud Platforms: AWS (primary), Azure, GCP.
• AWS Cloud Ops: EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Auto Scaling, ELB, etc.
• Architecture: Designing resilient, scalable, secure cloud architectures.
• SRE Practices: Observability, monitoring, automation, reliability engineering.
• Security: IAM, encryption, compliance frameworks.
• DevOps/Automation: CI/CD, Terraform/CloudFormation/ARM, scripting.

Certifications

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional (highly preferred).
• Azure/GCP certifications are a plus.
