| Key roles and responsibilities | Cloud Infrastructure Design & Deployment: ü Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure solutions on AWS. ü Manage VPCs, subnets, route tables, and NAT gateways for proper network segmentation and communication. Automation & CI/CD: ü Automate infrastructure provisioning using tools like CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS CDK. ü Set up CI/CD pipelines using AWS Code Pipeline, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or similar tools. Monitoring & Optimization: ü Monitor infrastructure using CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and third-party tools (e.g., Datadog, Prometheus). ü Identify cost optimization opportunities and implement best practices to reduce cloud expenses. Security & Compliance: ü Implement IAM policies, roles, and least-privilege access controls. ü Ensure compliance with security standards (e.g., ISO, SOC2, GDPR, HIPAA as applicable). Manage and automate backup, disaster recovery, and failover strategies. Operational Support: ü Troubleshoot cloud infrastructure and application-level issues. ü Perform routine maintenance tasks and upgrades. ü Collaborate with DevOps, developers, and other teams to support cloud-based applications. | ||
