Role Overview
The AVP Business Development will be responsible for driving regional business growth, strengthening market presence, and generating sustainable revenue for Pinakiin Designs. The role involves strategic lead generation, opportunity qualification, proposal management, stakeholder coordination, and disciplined governance through the entire pre-sales and early post-sales lifecycle, in alignment with the companys vision, systems, and processes.
Key Responsibilities (KRAs)
1. Business Development & Revenue Generation
- Develop a deep understanding of Pinakiin Designs vision, service offerings, systems, and processes under the guidance of Management.
- Drive business development initiatives in the assigned region to generate qualified opportunities, enhance brand visibility, and achieve annual revenue targets.
- Generate revenue from new clients as per assigned annual sales targets, maintaining a minimum operating margin of 25% .
2. Lead Generation, Qualification & Market Intelligence
- Identify, research, and qualify leads through market intelligence, industry research, marketing tools, and on-ground insights.
- Assess opportunities including client intent, scope clarity, competitive landscape, and anti-incumbency factors to enable Management to take informed GO / NO-GO decisions .
- Establish first-level client engagement through cold calls, emails, and meetings , representing Pinakiin Designs during initial discussions.
3. Proposal, RFP & Pre-Sales Management
- Lead the generation and coordination of RFPs/RFQs for Design & Build and Design Consultancy projects, in line with company standards.
- Drive interdepartmental coordination for PQs, EOIs, vendor registrations, capability statements, RFPs, and RFQs .
- Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant submissions with two-level internal approvals prior to any external communication.
- Maintain strict adherence to governance no commercial, timeline, compliance, or payment commitments without Management approval.
4. Internal Coordination & Stakeholder Management
- Collaborate with internal teams including Design, MEP, Projects, and Commercial during design briefs, site due diligence, RFIs, and client clarifications.
- Ensure seamless coordination during the proposal stage through to closure, with regular updates to Management and internal stakeholders.
- Drive clarity on deliverables, responsibilities, and timelines across departments during the pre-sales phase.
5. Reporting, Governance & Compliance
- Ensure effective, consistent reporting and escalation to Management at appropriate stages.
- Maintain and regularly update CRM and BD databases as per company formats and systems.
- Adhere to all company policies, processes, approval matrices, and professional standards.
6. Post-Sales Coordination & Brand Enablement
- Coordinate with account leads post order closure for project documentation , including photography, videography, case studies, completion certificates, and client appreciation letters to support marketing and BD initiatives.

- Revenue achievement against assigned targets
- Operating margin (minimum 25%)
- Quality and conversion of qualified opportunities
- Timely and compliant RFP/RFQ submissions
- CRM accuracy and reporting discipline
- Effectiveness of internal coordination and governance adherence
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Architecture, Management, or a related field (MBA preferred).
- 1015+ years of experience in Business Development / Sales within corporate interiors, design & build, real estate, construction, or allied industries .
- Strong exposure to B2B sales, proposal management, stakeholder engagement, and enterprise clients .
- Proven track record of revenue generation and margin management.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
