AVP Insurance Transformation

The Transformation Leader is responsible for driving end-to-end operational transformation across Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance carrier & broker operations. The role focuses on improving efficiency, scalability, service quality, and profitability through process redesign, digitization, operating model changes, and data-driven decision making.

The role would be responsible for the effective delivery of the Transformation Roadmaps and projects for the clients with a distinctive focus on deploying digital technologies like Robotics, Machine Learning, Intelligent automations, Generative AI, etc. by working with cross-functional global teams to favourably impact to the business outcomes of the customer.

Responsibilities

1. Operational Transformation

Lead large-scale transformation initiatives across core broker operations, including:

Policy placement & renewals

Endorsements & mid-term adjustments

New business onboarding

Claims coordination & servicing

Carrier interactions and compliance

Identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and cost drivers; redesign processes using Lean / Six Sigma principles.

Standardize workflows across lines of business, geographies, and acquired broker entities.

2. Digital & Automation Enablement

Drive adoption of digital tools, workflow platforms, and automation (RPA, OCR, straight-through processing).

Partner with IT, vendors, and Insurtech to modernize broker management systems (BMS), CRM, and document management.

Enable data integration between carriers, brokers, and internal systems.

3. Operating Model & Organization Design

Define target operating models aligned to growth, M&A, and client segmentation strategies.

Optimize role clarity, spans of control, and sourcing models (onshore/offshore/shared services).

Support post-merger integration for acquired brokerages.

4. Performance & Analytics

Establish operational KPIs and dashboards (e.g., turnaround time, hit ratios, cost per policy, error rates).

Embed performance management routines and continuous improvement culture.

Use data to drive prioritization of transformation initiatives.

5. Change & Stakeholder Management

Lead change management across frontline teams, leaders, and partners.

Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership.

Communicate vision, progress, and impact clearly and consistently.

Skillset

• 1018+ years of experience in insurance, with deep exposure to P&C broker or carrier operations
• Proven track record leading large-scale transformation or operational excellence programs
• Strong understanding of broker workflows, carrier interactions, and regulatory requirements
• Experience working with senior executives and cross-functional teams
• Experience in setting up process measurement systems with advance visualization tools to implement real time monitoring frameworks and platforms
• Proficiency in data and analytical tools like control charts, descriptive statistics, box charts, hypothesis testing etc
• Certifications in Project Management, Automation, Design Thinking will be preferred.
• Demonstrate thought leadership and risk-taking abilities.
• Strong Quantitative and problem-solving ability: Ability to conceptualize complex problems and develop an Analytical Road map for them
• Experience of leading and driving strategic initiatives for COO, CFO and CIO personas
• Proven experience in driving continuous improvements across teams using Lean Six Sigma, Design Thinking, Digital and Automation Solutions, Advanced Analytics and GenAI
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management with ability to work in diverse teams and with multiple stakeholders
