Job Type: Full-time, On-site, Mon-Fri - 5 day work week
Location: Lower Parel, Mumbai
Team Structure: Individual Contributor initially (with scope to build the HR team)

Position Overview
- We at HR Interface Recruitment Consulting are hiring an AVP Human Resources / Head - HR canddiate to lead the entire people agenda for our client.
- This is a foundational HR leadership role, where the incumbent will work directly with the Founder & CEO to shape and implement the organizations people strategy during a critical phase of growth.
- The role will initially function as an IC / Individual Contributor HR leadership position, responsible for strengthening culture, building HR systems, and driving performance management frameworks across the organization of < 100 employees.
- Over time, the role will evolve to build and lead the HR team as the company scales across markets.
- The ideal candidate will bring strong experience as a business-savvy HR partner who understands company financials, operational growth plans, and workforce planning, and can translate these into effective people strategies & most importantly has proven experience of minimum 2 years working directly with Founders/CXOs of their companies.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Business Partnering
- Partner closely with the Founder & CEO to align HR strategy with the companys growth plans and business priorities.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on organizational design, culture, talent development, and performance management.
- Translate business goals into people strategies, workforce planning, and capability-building initiatives.
Culture Building & Employee Experience
- Drive initiatives that strengthen employee engagement, organizational culture, and workplace experience.
- Build programs that reinforce the companys values, collaboration, and entrepreneurial spirit.
- Lead employee listening initiatives and implement improvements that enhance overall employee satisfaction and retention.
Performance Management & Organizational Effectiveness
- Design and implement robust performance management frameworks across the organization.
- Lead goal-setting cycles, performance reviews, appraisal processes, and feedback systems.
- Build mechanisms that support high performance, accountability, and merit-based growth.
HR Systems, Policies & Process Building
- Establish and strengthen core HR policies, frameworks, and operational processes that support a scaling organization.
- Drive improvements across the employee lifecycle including onboarding, development, performance reviews, and retention strategies.
- Implement HR analytics and reporting systems that support data-driven decision making.
Strategic Workforce Planning
- Partner with leadership to anticipate future capability requirements and organizational structure needs.
- Develop manpower planning strategies aligned with business expansion across India and international markets.
External Talent Partner Management / Vendor Management
- Work with specialized recruitment vendor partners to support leadership and niche hiring mandates.
- Ensure complete understanding of hiring needs in routine meetings with the Founder/CEO & work with external partners to close these roles (as there is no internal recruitment team).

Qualifications & Must-Have Skills
- 10 to 15 years of progressive HR experience with strong exposure to HR Generalist leadership roles or HR Business Partnering.
- Demonstrated experience working closely with founders, CEOs, or senior leadership teams.
Strong expertise in:
- Employee Experience, Engagement & Retention
- Labour Law, Statutory Compliances & HR Policy Handbooks as per Indian laws.
- Performance Appraisals / Performance Management
- Organizational Design & Development
- Culture Building
- HR Strategy & Business Partnering
- Workforce Planning
- Strong commercial and business acumen, with the ability to understand organizational financials and operational goals.
- Experience working in high-growth organizations, entrepreneurial environments, or scaling companies will be preferred.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
- Available to join within one month of offer
