Organizational Overview:

Credit Team decisions credit actions across the lifecycle of a customer – from acquisition to account management to collections and recover – we work towards managing credit and fraud losses and elevating customer experience through powerful and proprietary insights on customer risk and credit behaviours. The actionable insights are driven by access to numerous alternative data sources, new age technologies, focused strategies, emerging algorithms, and predictive precision. Spread across 10 pillars the credit team in India caters to the entire gamut of decision sciences, from data management to model development to strategy design, and bringing it all to life through technology, and managing within the guardrails of our regulatory requirements. This role is part of the Enterprise Fraud Analytics & Reporting organization, which is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and improving Enterprise Fraud data reporting and regulatory compliance.


Role Summary/Purpose: 

The AVP Enterprise Fraud Analytics & Reporting role will be responsible for driving Enterprise Fraud data monitoring efforts by developing consistent and accurate reporting packages, performing in-depth data analysis to identify trends, and supporting the planning and execution of ongoing business requirements. This role will report to the VP, Enterprise Fraud Analytics & Reporting leader and partner with all functions within the Enterprise Fraud/credit organization


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth analysis of key performance indicators, offering leadership insights into underlying drivers and recommending strategies to enhance process efficiency.

  • Collaborate with Senior Leadership across Credit Org to design, develop, implement and oversee data and reporting control activities in coordination with operations, surveillance, compliance, legal, internal controls and risk teams.

  • Perform detailed analysis and develop monthly packets, providing leadership with insights into drivers & make recommendations for process improvement.

  • Enhance & optimize key business reporting incorporating automation where applicable

  • Design and develop Power BI/Tableau dashboards, and visualizations to deliver actionable business insights

  • Present & review monthly packets with all L2 & L3 process leaders to drive data-driven decision making.

  • Proactively analyze a variety of data sources that will act as an early detection system for emerging operational or procedural issues.

  • Develop and maintain SAS and/or SQL codes, visual basic macros, and other tools to facilitate issue resolution and exception reporting for all Level 3 Processes.

  • Establish, refine, implement, and monitor controls to ensure compliance with key banking regulations for Customer Solutions at an enterprise level.

  • Work with internal and external auditors and provides documentation to certify compliance.

  • Identify new and innovative ways to process work efficiently / automate; Implement process and system changes/enhancements.

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned


Required Skills/Knowledge:

  • Bachelors/Masters in quantitative discipline like statistics, mathematics, economics / MBA with 4+ years of hands-on Experience in SQL /SAS with proven ability to leverage advanced algorithms and be efficient in handling complex/large data and 6+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with data visualization tools esp. Tableau

  • 3+ years of experience in Fraud Data Analysis & Reporting’

  • Ability to solve complex technical problems with minimal supervision

  • Advanced proficiency in MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint with superior data analyses and storyboarding skills

  • Strong written/oral communication & stakeholder management skills

 
Desired Skills/Knowledge:

  • Experience in Fraud Data Analysis, Insights

  • Experience in SAS Base & Advanced Programming and Tableau Reporting.

  • Strong project management, communication, and multitasking skills.

Eligibility Criteria:

Work Timings:

This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
