Job Description

A. Job Purpose To ensure adherence to maintenance standards and procedures within the MRO function, guaranteeing aircraft safety, operational reliability, and compliance with regulatory and industry standards. The role focuses on developing and implementing maintenance programs, analyzing


B. Key Accountabilities Functional Activities Develop, review, and update maintenance programs in collaboration with engineering teams to meet airline requirements and industry standards. Analyze maintenance records, flight data, and other relevant information to identify trends, potential issues, and opportunities for process improvement. Ensure all maintenance activities comply with regulatory requirements, airline procedures, and manufacturer recommendations. Contribute to the creation and maintenance of comprehensive maintenance documentation, including manuals, task cards, and technical publications. Troubleshoot technical issues related to maintenance and provide solutions to ensure aircraft remain operational. Provide technical guidance and support to maintenance personnel, flight operations, and engineering teams to enhance MRO processes. Identify and implement opportunities to improve maintenance efficiency and reduce costs while minimizing aircraft downtime. Conduct periodic audits of maintenance activities and facilities to ensure adherence to quality standards and best practices. Stay updated with changes in aviation regulations, standards, and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance. Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer, and HR.

Key Performance Indicators Aircraft Reliability and Performance Aircraft reliability and performance metrics Reduction of aircraft downtime over a month/quarter Aircraft Downtime Reduction Minimization of aircraft downtime through efficient maintenance processes. Assessment of technical inspection findings and rectification of discrepancies Safety and Compliance Adherence level to safety procedures and aviation regulations Accuracy and completeness of technical records E. Key Interfaces Internal Interfaces Engineering Team Coordinate with engineering teams to ensure timely operations External Interfaces Vendors / Suppliers Coordinate with external vendors and suppliers for technical support services and spare parts procurement F. Educational and Experience Requirements Minimum Education requirements B. Sc/BE/B. Tech/Bachelors degree in engineering (aeronautical, mechanical, electrical, electronic, avionics) Experience Minimum Desired 2-4 years of experience in MRO operations, maintenance planning, or standards development. Experience with Airbus or Boeing fleet is an added advantage. Familiarity with maintenance management software/tools. B1 or B2 license on relevant aircraft types is preferable
