SENIOR AUTOMOTIVE SOFTWARE ENGINEER - AI/ML & AUTOSAR

Position Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Senior Automotive Software Engineer to join the R&D

Vertical of our Research & Development Center. This role focuses on innovation,

architecture design, and next-generation AUTOSAR middleware development that

leverages cutting-edge AI/Machine Learning technologies to revolutionize automotive

software development practices.

As part of the R&D vertical, you will be at the forefront of designing and prototyping the

future of AUTOSAR-based automotive middleware, while simultaneously pioneering

how artificial intelligence can enhance software quality, accelerate development

cycles, and optimize embedded systems performance. This is a strategic role that

directly influences our product roadmap and competitive positioning in the global

automotive market.

About the Role

Primary Responsibilities

1. Software Architecture and development:

- Lead the architectural design and evolution of AUTOSAR Classic and Adaptive

middleware platforms

- Design innovative BSW (Basic Software) components for adaptive behavior, self-

optimization, and predictive diagnostics

- Research and prototype emerging AUTOSAR patterns that align with automotive

industry trends: software-defined vehicles, over-the-air updates, autonomous driving,

and vehicle-to-everything (V2X) communication

- Define modular, reusable, and scalable middleware architectures that support

multiple OEM use cases and reduce time-to-market for customers

- Establish architectural standards and design patterns for AI integration within

AUTOSAR middleware, ensuring safety and reliability

- Lead requirements engineering for R&D initiatives, translating customer needs and

market trends into technical specifications

2. AI-Enabled R&D Process Innovation

Use AI and ML models to automate tasks such as requirements analysis, test

case generation, code review, and defect prediction.

Apply Large Language Models (LLMs) and tools like LangChain, RAG,

LangGraph, OpenAI APIs to extract insights from DOORS, Jira, or code

repositories.

Evaluate emerging AI toolchains and frameworks to enhance development

workflows.

Identify opportunities for predictive analytics in software quality, bug triage, and

test coverage optimization.

Design intelligent testing and validation systems

Develop AI-driven code quality frameworks

Establish human-in-the-loop review processes for code review with AI Assist

3. Cross-Functional Collaboration

Collaborate closely with development, validation, infrastructure, and

customer program teams to ensure end-to-end software delivery excellence.

Support knowledge sharing and upskilling initiatives across teams in AI for

automotive software.

4. Soft Skills & Leadership

Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills.

Strong collaboration mindset to work with R&D, DevOps, testing, and program

management teams.

Proven ability to mentor and lead technical teams.

Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments.

Qualifications

8 to 12 years of experience in automotive embedded systems, including 3 to 4

years in AUTOSAR architecture.

3 to 5 years of AI/ML application experience in software or embedded domains.

Expertise in C/C++, Python, AUTOSAR tools, and AI frameworks (TensorFlow,

PyTorch, scikit-learn).

Strong background in safety-critical software, ISO 26262, and Agile R&D

environments.

Proven research or innovation record (papers, patents, PoCs).

Preferred Profile

Masters or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Electronics, or AI/ML.

Experience with Adaptive AUTOSAR, SDV, autonomous systems, and edge AI.

Demonstrated leadership in AI-driven R&D transformation within Tier-1 or OEM

ecosystems.
