Automation Test Engineer

We are looking for a passionate Functional & Automation Test Engineer with 23 years of experience in both manual and automated testing, with a strong focus on Playwright and Python, Pytest. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality product delivery by designing, implementing, and maintaining reliable test frameworks and performing functional, regression, and integration testing.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand product requirements, business flows, and technical architecture to design comprehensive test scenarios.
• Perform manual functional testing and validate end-to-end user journeys for web applications.
• Design, develop, and maintain Playwright automation scripts using Python for regression and smoke testing.
• Implement data-driven, modular, and reusable test automation frameworks.
• Integrate automated tests with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins or GitHub Actions).
• Conduct API testing using Postman or Playwrights APIRequestContext.
• Capture and analyze test results, report bugs using JIRA or similar tools, and follow up on resolutions.
• Generate automation execution reports and track test coverage and stability.
• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and QA peers to ensure timely, high-quality releases.

Skill Set:

• Automation Tools: Playwright (Python) hands-on experience required.
• Programming: Strong Python scripting skills for test development and OOPS Concept.
• Testing Types: Functional, Regression, Smoke, UI, and Integration testing.
• API Testing: Postman / Playwrights built-in API capabilities.
• Test Management Tools: JIRA or TestRail.
• CI/CD Integration: Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
• Version Control: Git / GitHub.
• Database Testing: Basic SQL querying for backend verification.
• OS/Browsers: Experience in cross-browser and responsive web testing

Minimum Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience with pytest and Allure or HTMLTestRunner for test reporting.
• Engineering Graduate with 2 to 3yrs of experience
• Exposure to Docker-based test environments.
• Familiarity with BDD (Behave or Cucumber-style frameworks).
• Knowledge of API mocking and network interception in Playwright.
