Responsibilities:

Strategic Automation Leadership:

• Define, implement, and champion the overall test automation strategy and roadmap across multiple projects and teams.
• Evaluate and recommend new automation tools, frameworks, and technologies to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with development, product, and QA teams to integrate automation into the CI/CD pipeline, promoting a shift-left testing approach.

Technical Design & Development:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust, scalable, and reusable test automation frameworks (e.g., UI, API, database, performance) and strategies for telecom products.
• Write, execute, and debug complex automated test scripts using [Java/Python, Selenium, Playwright, Postman, JMeter etc.].
• Implement advanced automation patterns and practices to improve test coverage, reliability, and execution speed.
• Conduct thorough code reviews for automation scripts to ensure quality, maintainability, and adherence to best practices.

Team Leadership & Mentorship:

• Act as a technical mentor and coach for junior and mid-level QA engineers, guiding them in automation principles, tool usage, and script development.
• Develop and deliver training sessions, workshops, and documentation to upskill the team in test automation techniques and best practices.
• Foster a collaborative environment where team members are empowered to learn, contribute, and grow their automation skills.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to help team members overcome technical challenges in automation.

Quality Assurance & Reporting:

• Analise test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for timely resolution.
• Generate comprehensive automation test reports and metrics to communicate quality status and progress to stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement in test processes, tools, and methodologies.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 8-10 years of progressive experience in Software Quality Assurance with a strong focus on Test Automation.
• Proven expertise in designing and implementing end-to-end test automation frameworks for web, mobile, and/or API applications.
• Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
• Extensive hands-on experience with industry-standard automation tools/frameworks (e.g., Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Appium, Rest Assured, Postman, JMeter).
• Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating automated tests into build and deployment processes (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps).
• Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and various testing methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and guide other engineers in test automation best practices and technical skill development.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills.
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical concepts.

Nice to Have :

• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Knowledge of performance testing tools and concepts.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Contributions to open-source test automation projects.
• Certifications in Software Testing (e.g., ISTQB Advanced Level Test Automation Engineer).

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
