Role : Automation Test Engineer
Experience: 2-6 years
Location of Requirement : India Offshore, Chennai
Job Description :
Required (Must have) Skillset: 3+ Yrs in experience for Utility GIS application testing in Automation
Job Summary:
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts using Selenium, Appium, Java, and TestNG .
- Perform functional, regression, and user acceptance testing for web and mobile applications.
- Utilize Jira and Zephyr for test case management, defect tracking, and reporting.
- Maintain and version control automation scripts using GitHub and Eclipse IDE .
- Execute batch runs of automated test cases for regression cycles on pre-production builds , significantly reducing manual testing efforts.
- Collaborate with developers, product owners, and cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) .
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Document test results and knowledge base in Confluence .
- Coordinate end-to-end testing across multiple scrum teams to ensure system reliability and integration.
- Apply best practices in QA implementation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
