Automation Test Engineer (2–3 Years Experience)

Job Description:

Key Accountabilities / Deliverables

Design, develop, and execute test cases and test scenarios forweb and mobile applications built usingFlutter and Django .

Create and maintainautomated test scripts for functional and regression testing using appropriate automation tools and frameworks.

Performmanual testing where required to support automation coverage.

Conductfunctional, regression, integration, and basic performance testing across web and mobile platforms.

Identify, document, and track defects using defect management tools, and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.

Analyse test results and provide clear and concisetest execution reports .

• Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other QA members as part of anAgile/Scrum delivery team .
• Contribute to improving test processes, test coverage, and overall QA practices within the team.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, and retrospectives from a QA perspective.
• Stay updated with QA best practices, automation techniques, and emerging testing tools.

Person Specification / Required Skills & Experience

Required Experience

23 years of experience in software testing with a focus onautomation testing .

Experience testingweb and mobile applications (Android/iOS).

Hands-on experience withtest automation tools such as:

Playwright / Selenium / Cypress (for web)

Appium or Flutter testing tools (for mobile preferred)

Experience working in aDjango-based backend environment .

Basic experience withperformance testing tools (e.g., JMeter or similar).

Experience working within anAgile/Scrum development process .

Familiarity withCI/CD pipelines and automated test execution (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bitbucket, or similar).

Experience usingGit for version control.

Technical Skills

Understanding oftest automation frameworks , test design techniques, and test strategies.

Basic knowledge ofAPI testing (REST APIs using Postman, REST Assured, or similar).

Familiarity withmobile testing concepts (device compatibility, OS versions, network conditions).

• Basic understanding ofsecurity testing concepts and common vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10 awareness level).
• Experience in defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, TestRail, or similar).

Soft Skills & Collaboration

Ability to work closely with developers as part of across-functional delivery team .

Good communication and problem-solving skills.

Willingness to learn, adapt, and improve automation skills.

Experience working withonshore and offshore teams is a plus.

• Ability to work effectively in acomplex product domain .

Nice to Have (Optional)

Experience testingFlutter apps specifically.

Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP basic understanding).
