Automation QA Engineer (Playwright)

Workfall is looking for an Automation QA Engineer who doesnt just test software, but builds quality systems that prevent defects, improve release velocity, and strengthen engineering reliability.

You will be responsible for building and scaling automation frameworks that ensure stable, production-ready releases. You will work closely with developers, product stakeholders, and DevOps to embed quality early in the SDLC. This is a hands-on role. We expect you to take ownership of automation architecture and continuously improve test maturity.

Mandatory Requirement:

• 45 years of experience in automation testing with prior exposure to manual testing and strong knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and release processes.
• Zeal and interest to learn new things. Absolute dedication towards your professional growth.
• Excellent communication skills and working proficiency in English.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

• Design and maintain scalable automation frameworks from scratch or enhance existing ones
• Automate Web and API test cases with strong coverage
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines for seamless deployments
• Build regression, smoke, and integration test suites
• Collaborate with developers during sprint cycles to ensure shift-left testing
• Conduct root cause analysis and prevent recurring defects
• Track quality metrics and proactively highlight risk areas
• Drive reduction in manual testing dependency

Technical Requirements

Core Skills (Must Have)

• Strong hands-on experience with Playwright
• Proficiency in Java or Python or JavaScript
• Experience with TestNG / JUnit / PyTest
• API automation using RestAssured / Postman
• CI/CD integration (Jenkins / GitHub Actions)
• Strong understanding of Agile workflows
• Git version control

Good to Have:

• Cypress or Selenium
• BDD frameworks (Cucumber)
• Basic performance testing exposure (JMeter)
• OWASAP Zap for Security testing
• Cloud exposure (AWS/Azure)
• Docker familiarity
