Automation Integration Architect

We are hiring on behalf of one of our key US based client - a globally recognized service provider of flexible and scalable outsourced warehousing solutions, designed to adapt to the evolving demands of todays supply chains.

We are seeking a highly experienced Automation Integration Architect to lead the design, development, integration, testing, and deployment of complex automation ecosystems across diverse environments. This role requires deep expertise in system integration, automation frameworks, simulation development, Python, UNIX, and end-to-end automation lifecycle management.

Key Responsibilities

1. Automation & Integration Architecture:

- Design enterprise-grade integration architectures for automation platforms and distributed applications.

- Define integration patterns including API, microservices, and event-driven frameworks.

- Architect frameworks supporting automation reusability and modular design.

2. Automation Development & Framework Design:

- Lead development of automation frameworks using Python and UNIX tools.

- Standardize coding practices and deployment workflows.

3. Simulation & System Modeling:

- Build and execute simulation models to validate automation performance.

- Run scenario-based simulations to identify system risks and improvements.

4.Integration Testing & Deployment:

- Lead integration testing across system, regression, and performance phases.

- Establish CI/CD-based deployment workflows.

5. Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:

Work closely with cross-functional teams including IT, Controls, DevOps, and Operations.

- Collaborate with vendors for system integration and commissioning.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Automation, or related field.

- 1015 years of experience in automation development, integration, and deployment.

- Strong expertise in integration architecture (REST, ESB, Kafka, microservices).

- Deep experience in Python, shell scripting, and UNIX/Linux environments.

- Ability to design simulations and conduct system modelling.

Strong understanding of CI/CD tools and processes.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with a wide range of robotics and automation systems:

* AMRs / AGVs

* Articulated, SCARA, Delta, and Collaborative Robots (Cobots)

* AS/RS systems

* Goods-to-Person systems

* Conveyor, sortation, high-speed material handling systems

* Robotic picking, palletizing, depalletizing, and vision-guided robotics

* WCS/WES/WMS integrations

* Sensor/actuator ecosystems for automation assets.

Exposure to digital twins, virtual commissioning tools, and simulation frameworks

- Experience collaborating with automation OEMs and robotics vendors.

- Familiarity with safety standards for industrial and warehouse robotics environments
