Job Summary:

We are hiring on behalf of our esteemed client for the position of Automation Engineer PLC/DCS based in Pune. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in programming, configuring, commissioning, and troubleshooting process control systems using major PLC and DCS platforms. This role involves active participation in automation projects, system upgrades, and technical support.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and commission PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and DCS (Distributed Control Systems) for industrial automation.
• Program and modify control logic using platforms such as Honeywell, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, etc.
• Troubleshoot control systems to ensure stable and reliable plant operations.
• Collaborate with instrumentation, electrical, and process teams to implement automation solutions.
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation including control logic diagrams, functional design specifications, and loop diagrams.
• Participate in FAT/SAT (Factory / Site Acceptance Testing) and system validation processes.
• Monitor and optimize system performance for efficiency and reliability.
• Provide technical support and training to operations and maintenance teams.
• Ensure all activities adhere to safety regulations, quality standards, and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, or related engineering discipline.
• 23 years of practical experience in PLC/DCS programming, configuration, and commissioning.
• Solid understanding of control system architecture and communication protocols such as Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, OPC, etc.
• Experience in HMI/SCADA development is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and P&ID drawings.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards.
• Willingness to travel to project and site locations as required.
