Automation Cypress Testing

What You'll Do :

Drive Quality Forward: Contribute to shaping the future of software quality, by actively engaging in thorough quality assessments of the developed software, utilizing both manual and automated testing with tools and frameworks to ensure effective software quality.

Collaborate: Work closely with QA and development teams to design automated tests that encompass various elements of the application, including UI and functionality. Collaboration is key at Trivium, and your input will be instrumental to our team's success.

Elevate Your QA Skills: Embrace best practices in both manual and automated testing, refine your scripting skills to create effective automated tests, and utilize various tools and frameworks to ensure thorough test coverage and maintainability.

Thrive in an Agile Environment: Operate within a dynamic Agile setting, utilising SCRUM and SAFe methodologies to manage and deliver projects effectively.

Skills Required:

Experience in testing web applications built with modern frameworks, with a focus on both manual and automated testing methodologies.

Experience with any automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Cypress, Playwright, Robot Framework and WebDriver IO.

Good understanding of different testing types, includingfunctional,regression,smoke,sanity,exploratory, testing. andintegration.

Scripting Skills:

Proficient in programming languages Java, JavaScript/TypeScript and Python, with a strong focus on at least one to build and run automated test scripts.

Understanding of core programming concepts: variables, data types, conditions, loops, functions, classes, and basic object-oriented principles.

Proficient in writing modular test scripts with clear separation of test logic, configuration, data, and common utilities.

API Testing: Experience in developing test cases and utilizing manual and automated methods to ensure APIs meet specifications. Capable of debugging API issues using logs, console output, and server responses.

Test Case Design: Experience to interpret user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria to design clear and comprehensive test cases. Exposure to creating automation-ready test scripts aligned with framework structure.

Analytical Thinking: Strong ability to analyze requirements, workflows, and edge cases to uncover gaps early. Apply logical, structured thinking to break features into testable components and identify potential risks or failure points. Uses patterns from defects, logs, and test results to draw insights and recommend improvements in quality and test coverage.

Troubleshooting: Proficient in analyzing stack traces, exceptions, and console/network logs to diagnose failures. Experience in correlating failures across UI, API, and database layers to display root causes, and creating clear, detailed bug reports for developers.

Good to Have:

Basic knowledge of databases and the ability to write simple SQL queries. Basic knowledge of security and authentication checks. Familiarity with version control systems (like Git) and CI/CD concepts.
