Job Title : AutoCAD Electrical Designer / Engineer

Role Overview:

We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Electrical professional to design, develop, and maintain electrical schematics and control panel layouts. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in wiring, electrical devices, and AutoCAD Electrical software, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Electrical Design & Drafting
• Create and modify electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts using AutoCAD Electrical.
• Develop intelligent schematic symbols and components with attributes for accurate representation and automation
• Device & Wiring Management
• Configure and manage electrical devices, terminals, and footprints ensuring proper connectivity and mapping.
• Define wire layers, types (single, cable, bus), routing rules, and numbering schemes for projects.
• Standards & Compliance
• Maintain adherence to IEC, JIC, and company-specific standards for electrical design.
• Ensure consistency in project settings, wire layers, and cross-reference styles.
• Automation & Integration
• Utilize AutoCAD Electricals automation features for wire numbering, component tagging, and error checking.
• Support integration with PLM systems and ensure data integrity across platforms.
• Quality Assurance
• Perform real-time error checks and validate schematic accuracy.
• Update legacy drawings to current standards and maintain project libraries.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical 2022 or later .
• Strong understanding of electrical wiring principles and device specifications.
• Experience with schematic symbol creation and intelligent block attributes.
• Familiarity with wire routing, numbering schemes, and panel layout design.
• Knowledge of integration with PLM systems (e.g., Teamcenter) is a plus.
• Ability to interpret and apply electrical standards and project specifications.

Preferred Experience

• Working knowledge of automation tools like Rulestream for AutoCAD Electrical.

Hands-on experience in reverse and forward connectivity for wiring
