Position Overview: Designer (Modular Furniture)

Frontier Furniture Systems is seeking a full-time, on-site Designer based in Bengaluru. This role is integral to the companys product development and project execution functions. The Designer will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and detailing modular furniture solutions that align with client requirements, manufacturing feasibility, and Frontiers brand aesthetics.

The role requires close collaboration with sales, production, and external vendors to ensure design accuracy, cost efficiency, and timely execution from concept to factory dispatch.

Experience Required: Minimum 2+ Years

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare modular furniture layouts and typical furniture drawings
• Prepare line marking drawings for furniture installation
• Export furniture blocks and take quantity take-offs for pricing
• Prepare BOQ and assist in client proposals
• Handle drawing revisions and final approvals
• Process orders to factory as per finalized proposal
• Coordinate with sales team to understand client requirements
• Follow up with furniture brands for pricing and drawings
• Handle warranty claims and site visits when required
• Maintain records of purchase orders sent to factory

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in CAD software, 3D modeling tools, and other relevant design applications
• Strong understanding of furniture design principles, space planning, and contemporary workplace aesthetics
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and experience coordinating with production teams
• Ability to translate functional requirements into practical, manufacturable design solutions
• Strong problem-solving and technical aptitude
• Clear communication and presentation skills for internal and client-facing interactions
• Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment

Educational Background & Experience

• Degree or relevant experience in Industrial Design, Interior Design, Furniture Design , or a related field
• Prior experience in modular furniture design or manufacturing is highly preferred
• Exposure to corporate office projects and large-scale installations will be an added advantage
