Audit Senior - Banking Sector

As an Audit Senior Banking, you will work as part of an experienced team, taking ownership of significant sections of complex UK audit engagements. You will collaborate closely with UKbased engagement managers, ensuring every deliverable meets our high standards of quality, integrity, and professionalism.

This role demands strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to excellence as a key member of our extended audit team.

Key Responsibilities

As an Audit Senior, you will:

• Deliver highquality audit work following firm policies, processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Support UKbased engagement managers by overseeing and coaching offshore team members within the extended audit team.
• Participate in planning, execution, and postengagement debriefs to identify improvements and enhance audit quality.
• Manage and control assigned audit areas, ensuring timely completion in alignment with agreed timelines.
• Track time spent on audit procedures and provide regular progress updates.
• Maintain audit quality standards, including timely clearance of review notes.
• Act as a key point of contact for engagement managers and clients, ensuring clear communication of audit issues and status.
• Prepare draft audit completion documents such as audit opinions, letters of representation, and group reporting submissions.
• Provide constructive feedback for performance evaluations of junior team members.
• Build strong working relationships within the extended onshore and offshore audit teams and promptly address queries or challenges.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualified ACA / ICAI / CA / ACCA (or equivalent).
• Strong experience leading full external audit cycles, preferably within the Banking or Financial Services sector.
• Uptodate knowledge of UK GAAP / FRS 102 / IFRS.
• Experience in supervising, mentoring, and coaching audit trainees.
• Proficiency in audit software and MS Office applications.
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical mindset with curiosity and professional scepticism.
• Ability to identify issues, apply sector knowledge, and propose effective solutions.
• Selfdriven, responsible, and committed to highquality delivery.
• Ability to delegate effectively while ensuring quality control.
