Role Description

This is an on-site, full-time role located in Mumbai for an Audio Visual Design Engineer. The Pre-Sales AV Design Engineer is responsible for conceptualizing and developing technical AV and automation solutions in support of sales and business development activities. The role involves translating client requirements into optimized, standards-compliant system designs, preparing technical documentation, and supporting proposal submissions and client presentations.

This is a pre-sales engineering role and does not include system commissioning, testing, or post-installation configuration responsibilities.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Technical Expertise

Strong understanding of AV system architecture and signal flow design.

Proficiency in CAD tools (AutoCAD/Revit) for system drawings.

Knowledge of:

DSP and audio system fundamentals

Video distribution technologies (HDBaseT, AV-over-IP, HDMI matrix)

Control systems (Crestron, Extron, AMX or similar)

Network basics for AV deployments

Ability to independently prepare BOQs and technical compliance documents.

Standards & Certifications (Preferred)

AVIXA CTS or CTS-D preferred.

Knowledge of AVIXA standards and structured cabling principles.

Professional Competencies

Strong analytical and solution-oriented mindset.

Commercial awareness and cost optimization capability.

Excellent presentation and communication skills.

Ability to manage multiple bid timelines under pressure.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Electrical, Electronics, or related Engineering discipline.

Relevant AV certifications are an added advantage.
