Atlassian Jira Consultant

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Atlassian Jira Consultant with 58 years of hands-on experience in managing, migrating, and optimizing Atlassian tools across Cloud and Data Center .

The role involves administration, automation, integration, security, and customer-facing technical collaboration to deliver scalable and efficient Atlassian solutions.

Experience :

Candidates who have 5 to 8 years of relevant experience can only apply.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and administer Jira , Jira Service Management (JSM) , and Confluence (Cloud and Data Center).
• Plan and execute Atlassian Cloud migrations, implementations, and upgrades with minimal disruption.
• Configure and customize workflows, issue types, permissions, and dashboards.
• Develop automation using Groovy , Python , or Unix shell scripting to improve efficiency.
• Integrate Atlassian tools with external systems and applications.
• Implement security, access controls, and compliance standards.
• Participate in customer technical discussions and support presales effort estimation.
• Create documentation and provide training/support to users.
• Work with Atlassian plugins such as Xray, Zephyr, QMetry , Tempo, EazyBI , etc.

Technical Qualifications:

• Minimum 5+ years of experience administering Atlassian tools such as Jira, Jira Service Management (JSM), and Jira align.
• Strong hands-on experience with migration, implementation, and upgrade of Atlassian applications in Cloud and Data Center.
• Develop automation and scripting using Groovy, Python, Unix shell scripting, or similar technologies.
• Experience with Atlassian plugin configuration, customization, and ecosystem integrations.
• Solid understanding of security management, access controls, and compliance within Atlassian platforms.
• Exposure to Atlassian Forge, analytics, AI capabilities , and solutioning is an added advantage.
• Atlassian certifications (ACP or equivalent) are a plus.

Generic Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks effectively.
