About the Role

This is an Accountant level position in Accounts Payable.  The responsibilities include performing invoice processing tasks and T&E independently without guidance and based on written instructions.

What You Will Do

  • Processing payments and financial transactions to suppliers and obtaining goods and services from suppliers promptly
  • Liaising with finance officers and suppliers concerning stock management, financial records and accounts
  • Verifying expense reports and querying invoice items from internal and external business finance officers
  • Reconciling invoices
  • Communicating with the wider Accounts Payable team and comparing system reports to better manage Accounts Payable processes
  • Entering invoices into the accounts payable system
  • Processing payments
  • Filling and maintaining supplier records
  • Checking and verifying invoices
  • Performing other ad hoc tasks as required by their supervisor
  • Auditing of travel expense reports in Chromeriver system
  • Posting of travel expense reports in SAP system
  • Vendor master data maintenance - support        
  • Contacting and supporting the employees in travel-related inquiries        
  • Auditing of P Card reports in GRAM system      
  • Posting of P Card reports in SAP system           
  • Initiate payments to employees for cash reimbursements
  • Initiate payments to AMEX and BOA     
  • Reporting, analyzing and clearing of aged items
  • Prepare month end reports on T&E process      
  • Support audit requests 

What You Need to Be Successful

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting / Finance / Commerce or specialized secondary education in economics combined with relevant experience 
  • Years of experience :  4+ years 
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English, both written and verbal 
  • Openness to learn new systems / processes and apply knowledge in everyday work 
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office applications required 
  • Willingness to work in flexible timings and meet strict deadlines 
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal skills 
  • Attention to detail, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skills 
  • Ability to effectively work in a team in a matrix environment 
  • Knowledge of TDS / GST tax laws applicable for India

Bonus Points if You Have

ERP / SAP system knowledge is a plus
