Associate Tech Specialist - Moodle

Position: Sr Moodle Developer

Location : Pune - Hinjewadi

Mode of Work: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain custom Moodle/IOMAD solutions (core and plugins)
• Develop and enhance frontend interfaces using **React** and **TypeScript**
• Manage backend development using **PHP**, **MySQL**, and **PostgreSQL**
• Implement and maintain **AWS services** for application hosting and scaling
• Containerize applications using **Docker** and manage deployments on Linux environments
• Write unit and integration tests following **Test-Driven Development (TDD)** practices
• Optimize database queries and ensure high system performance
• Troubleshoot technical issues across the full stack
• Collaborate cross-functionally with instructional designers, DevOps, and QA teams
• Communicate effectively to gather requirements, provide updates, and document solutions

Required Skills & Experience:

• 6–7 years of full stack development experience
• Strong hands-on experience with Moodle and/or IOMAD customization and plugin development
• Proficient in React, TypeScript, PHP, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
• Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, etc.)
• Proficiency in Docker and Linux command-line operations
• Deep understanding of Test-Driven Development (TDD) and related frameworks
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in Agile teams
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and Git-based workflows
• Exposure to LMS integrations (e.g., SCORM, LTI)

Must Have skills- PHP, Moodle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Postman.

Good to Have- React, TypeScript, IOMAD, etc.
