Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive HR Generalist who thrives in a startup-like, high-velocity setting. The ideal candidate brings strong agency and ownership, has hands-on experience in recruitment and campus relations, and can independently manage end-to-end HR operations. This is not a support role you will be expected to own outcomes, drive results, and partner closely with business leaders to build a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Campus Relations
- End-to-end recruitment: sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer negotiation, and onboarding across all levels.
- Build and nurture strong campus relationships with premier engineering and management institutes to create a robust talent pipeline.
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle using Zoho Recruit maintain accurate data, dashboards, and reporting.
HR Operations & Systems Management
- Handle complete HR operations, including payroll inputs, attendance, leave management, and statutory compliance.
- Own day-to-day updates and data integrity in Zoho People and Zoho Recruit (employee records, onboarding workflows, separations, etc.).
- Drive process improvements and automation to ensure efficiency in a fast-growing environment.
Employee Relations & Engagement
- Act as a trusted partner for employees build strong relationships, address concerns proactively, and maintain high engagement levels.
- Design and execute employee experience initiatives that foster a positive, high-performance culture.
General HR Ownership
- Take complete ownership of assigned HR projects and deliverables with minimal supervision.
- Support organizational growth by identifying HR best practices suitable for a fast-paced digital education startup environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Educational background: Engineer (B.E./B.Tech) + MBA (HR specialization) this combination is highly preferred.
- Prior startup experience is ideal.
- Exposure to payroll processing and compliance.

Should have the following
- Strong knowledge and experience in Human Resources and HR Management
- Proficiency in developing and implementing HR Policies
- Experience with Employee Benefits and Benefits Administration processes
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to manage people processes effectively and ensure organizational compliance
- Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
