Associate Software Engineer - Machine Learning

About the Role

We are looking for a passionate fresher with strong problem-solving skills and a solid understanding Machine Learning, and Statistics to join our team as a Machine Learning Engineer. You will work with senior engineers and data scientists to design, build, train, evaluate, and deploy machine learning models that solve real-world business problems.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with data scientists and engineering teams to design and develop machine learning models and data-driven solutions.
• Perform data cleaning, preprocessing, feature engineering, and exploratory data analysis (EDA).
• Build, train, validate, and fine-tune machine learning and deep learning models.
• Implement and optimize algorithms for performance and scalability.
• Deploy machine learning models into production environments using APIs or batch pipelines.
• Monitor model performance and retrain models as needed.
• Work with structured and unstructured data from multiple sources.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented Python code.
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting.
• Stay updated with the latest research, tools, and best practices in AI/ML.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field (or final-year student / equivalent practical experience).
• Strong proficiency in Python.
• Strong understanding of Machine Learning algorithms (Supervised and Unsupervised learning).
• Strong Knowledge of Statistics, Probability, and Linear Algebra fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience with libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib/Seaborn.
• Basic understanding of Deep Learning frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Understanding of data structures and algorithms.
• Familiarity with model evaluation techniques and performance metrics.
• Basic knowledge of SQL and working with datasets.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn and work in a team environment.
