By joining Clearstream IT you will be responsible for creating, maintaining and operating the systems that serve more than 2,500 clients world-wide, covering over 300,000 domestic and internationally traded bonds and equities. Clearstream's core business ensures that cash and securities are promptly and effectively delivered between parties, and that clients are always notified of the rights and obligations attached to the securities they keep under our custody.

Field of activity:

D7 is the platform of Clearstream that offers innovative services to its customers for the issuance of financial securities such as shares, warrants and funds. In other words without the Issuance services, there would be nothing to trade on the German financial market, and the supply will get short for the international markets too. The D7 IT Team develops the next-generation software that enables our business colleagues and customers to boost volume and processing efficiency and as a result to increase revenue and decrease operational costs.

As a Software Engineer you will be responsible for designing and implementing new and existing components and smart contracts to fulfil the functional and technical requirements. The components need to support fail-over, be highly scalable, secure and resilient under heavy load. You will be involved in all the aspects of the SDLC starting with initial business requirements until the production deployment and including 2nd level production support.

• Understand the business requirements and how they fit into the current technical landscape
• Create technical design within a group of experts with strong focus on information security, scalability, performance and long-term maintainability
• Implement, and maintain DLT-based systems and blockchain infrastructure.
• Develop and audit smart contracts following secure development standards
• Ensure that the solution and its implementation comply with the DBG SDLC standards
• Plan and execute the transition from test into production contribute to 2nd level production support
• Stay open-minded and understand the broad context of implementing and operating software components in a highly regulated environment

Qualifications / Required skills:

• University degree in computer science
• 5+ years (or 2+ for a junior role) overall professional experience in IT
• Hands-on experience in writing EVM-based smart contracts (Solidity)
• Knowledge of an object-oriented language (preferably Java) and ideally Spring boot
• Knowledge of OpenShift/Kubernetes, experience with GCP (or other cloud infra)
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL)
• Overview of CI/CD concepts
• Highly analytical mind-set You are able to actively listen and quickly understand arguments and goals of different people
• Excellent communication skills You explain the IT topics in a manner understandable to people without an IT background. You do not hesitate to ask questions, express your doubts or kindly challenge ideas during discussions. You have no problem admitting and accepting mistakes.
• High degree of self-dependence You are self-motivated, looking for opportunities to improve things or your own skills constantly. You take responsibility and are motivated to deliver.

• Excellent written and spoken English skills (German, French, Luxembourgish, or Czech is a plus)
