Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Administrator with a strong background in database administration. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining our OCI environment including the setup configuration and management of OCI resources as well as the administration of our Oracle databases.
Responsibilities
Manage and maintain the OCI environment including compute instances storage and network resources.
Administer Oracle databases including performance tuning backup and recovery data security and database upgrades and patches.
Implement and manage OCI Identity and Access Management (IAM) including users groups compartments and policies.
Monitor the OCI environment and databases for performance and availability.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the OCI environment and databases.
Good understanding of OCI Native security services like CloudGuard VSS Data Vault etc.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure optimal performance and availability of applications and services.
Develop and implement disaster recovery strategies and procedures.
Document OCI and database configurations and procedures.
Proven experience as an OCI Administrator and Oracle DBA.
Strong knowledge of OCI services and features.
Strong knowledge of Oracle database administration including backup and recovery performance tuning and security.
Experience with OCI IAM and security best practices.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python Bash or Shell.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills.
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect or Oracle DBA certifications are a plus.
