Associate Manager - Weaving

Job Summary:

The Weaving Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the entire weaving operations including production planning, manpower management, workflow monitoring, and ensuring product quality. The role involves supervising floor-level management (FLM), implementing efficient manufacturing methods, and maintaining discipline within the team. The candidate must be flexible to modify methods as per product requirements and ensure production targets are met effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise, organise, and monitor daily workflow in the weaving department.

• Plan and implement the weaving production schedule to meet deadlines and quality standards.

• Manage the production team including shift operators and FLMs; provide training if required.

• Ensure operational discipline, attendance, and performance management of the weaving team.

• Optimize resources, reduce downtime, and minimize waste in the weaving process.

• Change or adapt production methods and machine settings based on different product types.

• Coordinate with maintenance and quality teams to ensure smooth operations.

• Maintain accurate records of production reports, machine utilization, and manpower deployment.

• Ensure adherence to safety and compliance standards on the shop floor.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives in weaving operations.

Candidate Requirements:

• Diploma / Degree in Textile Technology or related field.

• 2–6 years of experience in a weaving production environment; supervisory experience preferred.

• Sound knowledge of weaving machines (e.g., Rapier, Airjet, etc.) and process parameters.

• Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.

• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to handle shop floor challenges.

• Willingness to work in shifts, if required.
