About the Team

The LSC team at Navi serves as a strategic partner to the business, ensuring the company's operations align with legal and regulatory frameworks. The team provides comprehensive legal counsel across various domains, including corporate law, regulatory compliance, and risk management. The team oversees corporate governance, ensuring adherence to statutory obligations and facilitating effective board and shareholder engagements. The team proactively manages compliance across multiple regulated sectors, adapting to evolving regulatory landscapes.

About the Role

As an Associate Manager in the Legal team, youll handle contract management, legal research, policy development, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure that Navis legal framework aligns with its business objectives.

What We Expect From You

• Contract Review and Management: Oversee the drafting, review and analysis of complex commercial contracts.
• Policy Collaboration and Development: Work closely with HR, Finance, Operations, Internal Audit and other teams to develop and update company policies, ensuring legal compliance and alignment with organizational objectives.
• HR and Employment law advisory: Advise HR and management teams on various employment and labour law related matters.
• Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior management, external legal counsel, business partners, vendors and regulatory bodies, to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams within the organization, such as finance, sales, and operations etc to support business initiatives and address legal issues.
• Legal Research and Compliance: Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis on various matters related to commercial contracts, employment law, and regulatory compliance to mitigate risks.
• Process Standardization and Optimization: Develop and implement efficient processes and procedures for contract review including automation and standardization, to improve productivity and reduce turnaround time.

Must Haves

• B.A., LL.B. (Hons.)/ J.D/ equivalent law degree from a recognized institution.
• 2-4 years of post-qualification experience in commercial contract management, general corporate advisory, M&A/PE/VC transactions or a related field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research tools.
