About the Team and the Role

The Corporate Finance & Accounts team at Ather is responsible for ensuring financial and commercial hygiene across the organization while providing the analytical backbone for strategic growth.

This role is for a highly analytical Business Finance Partner who will work closely with Functional leaders, Business leaders, and CXO offices. You will be instrumental in guiding financial performance, optimizing resource allocation, and driving strategic decision-making to ensure sustainable growth across corporate functions.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting for corporate functions including POP’s, Admin, Tech arm, and the CXO office.

• Conduct in-depth financial analysis, variance tracking, and ROI assessments to deliver actionable business insights.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to stakeholders regarding the financial implications of business cases and functional decisions.

• Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support investment decisions, project evaluations, and cost optimization initiatives.

• Drive continuous improvement in financial reporting processes, data accuracy, and systems.

• Prepare and present clear financial reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) to leadership.

• Build and maintain strong partnerships with senior management and cross-functional teams to align with organizational goals.

• Ensure financial and commercial hygiene while managing shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Experience and Qualifications

• Chartered Accountant / Master in Business Administration

• 3-5 years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), Business finance, or corporate finance, with a strong track record in a business partnering capacity.

Must Have Competencies

• Advanced proficiency in developing and maintaining complex financial models for strategic planning.

• Expertise in leading end-to-end budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

• Demonstrated ability to conduct high-level variance analysis and profitability assessments.

• Advanced skills in utilizing Microsoft Office Suite for financial data manipulation and presentation.

Good to Have Competencies

• Familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP for financial data management.

• Ability to utilize Business Intelligence tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik for data visualization.

• Experience in navigating financial processes within a startup or rapidly scaling environment.

• Knowledge of integrating cross-functional data into unified corporate financial reports.
