Associate - Financial Due Diligence (Experienced)

We are a boutique advisory firm working with mid-market companies across India and overseas. We support M&A and fundraising transactions through financial due diligence, valuation and financial analysis across sectors.

Role Overview

We are hiring an experienced Associate who can independently execute FDD workstreams end-to-end, own timelines, and deliver deal-focused insights for investors and management.

Ideal Candidate Profile (What we are looking for)

2+ years with Tier 1 / Tier 2 firms in Financial Due Diligence OR Internal Audit with strong transaction / diligence exposure.

Hands-on experience in QoE / working capital / net debt analysis with ability to own workstreams independently.

Strong Excel and structured report-writing skills (concise, deal-focused output).

Comfortable in a fast-paced, client-facing environment with high ownership and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

Execute buy-side / sell-side FDD: scoping, data request lists, coordination and issue tracking.

Perform financial statement analysis and identify key drivers, anomalies and risks (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow).

Deliver QoE analysis: normalization adjustments, EBITDA bridge and sustainability of earnings.

Analyze working capital, net debt and cash conversion; flag seasonality, one-offs and leakage items.

Review accounting policies / revenue recognition and assess margin / concentration / related-party risks; highlight red flags.

Prepare concise diligence reports and supporting schedules; present findings to seniors / clients.

Qualifications & Skills

CA (preferred) / MBA (Finance) / CFA or equivalent finance qualification.

Strong understanding of accounting, financial statements and FDD concepts (QoE, WC, net debt).

Excellent Excel (data cleanup, reconciliation, bridges) and strong PowerPoint / report writing.

High ownership, attention to detail and comfort in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
