Associate Engineer III

As an Engineer, you will work as part of a global team supported by our business and architecture partners to help us collaboratively develop and deliver industry leading technology solutions that drive lululemons business goals.

Experience and skillsets:

• Analyze, design, develop, implement, document, and maintain applications systems, working on moderately complex to highly complex project assignments.
• Consult with Quality Assurance and Business Analysts in the development and execution of test plans.
• Provide technical assistance and problem resolution for assigned systems.
• Identify and provide recommendations for system process improvements.
• May act as a source for direction, training, and guidance for less experienced team members.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science/information technology, or in a related technical field or equivalent technology experience.
• Excellent presentation, verbal, written, interpersonal and listening skills
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices
• Professional experience in Java development using Spring Boot
• 4+ years of engineering experience

Must-Have Skills:

• Design, develop, and maintain Java-based applications using Spring Boot with a focus on performance and maintainability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Strong knowledge of microservices design principles, REST APIs, and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ).
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement
• Hands-on experience with SQL and relational databases like PostgreSQL or MySQL.
• Familiarity with Microservices architecture and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)
• Deploy and manage services on AWS Cloud, utilizing services like EC2, ECS, Lambda, RDS, S3, API Gateway, etc
• Build and maintain high-throughput event streaming solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Create and manage automated CI/CD pipelines with GitLab to ensure seamless code integration and deployment.
• Deploy, scale, and monitor containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker in production environments.
