About the Role

In this role, you will be part of the HARMAN EPIC (Early Pursuits with Innovative Concepts) team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for embedded software development and be capable of contributing to hands-on development tasks particularly in areas such as lighting solutions using Node-RED, experimenting with and implementing AI/ML algorithms, and supporting various embedded integration activities.

What You Will Do

• Develop new innovative ideas and solutions for upcoming branded audio systems.
• Perform embedded software development, including low-level and hardware-level programming and integration.
• Design and implement illumination features using Node-RED for embedded systems.
• Explore, deploy, and validate AI/ML algorithms for proof-of-concept (PoC) projects.
• Integrate features and libraries from other concepts and demos.
• Support system-level, functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing activities.
• Assist in debugging and resolving technical issues.
• Participate in hardware system bring-ups and perform software flashing.
• Contribute to tasks related to Digital Signal Processing (DSP) and audio processing.
• Collaborate closely with both local and global teams within the EPIC organization.
• Ensure smooth handover of concepts and demos to the global engineering team, including thorough documentation.

What You Need to Be Successful

• A Minimum of one year of experience in the development of embedded software.
• Proficient in programming languages such as C/C++, JavaScript, and Java/Kotlin.
• Familiarity with native Android application development utilizing Kotlin and Jetpack Compose is a significant benefit.
• Strong passion for software development.
• Quick to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Experience with IoT development using Node-RED is a plus.

Bonus Points if You Have

• Bachelor’s degree in the related engineering field.
• Quick to learn and adapt to new technologies.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
• Good analytical skills.
