Major role and responsibilities

Preparation and review of GST Returns (GSTR 1, GSTR 3B), undertaking reconciliation of GSTR 2B/GSTR 3B, preparation and finalisation of GST Annual Returns and GST Audit Report
Ability to do quick research to develop theoretical understanding of the laws and acts.
Knowledge of case laws with relevant legal framework, good understanding of regulatory updates, approvals, opinions and basic understanding of its impact on clients.
Ability to acquire knowledge on current market trends and understand its future implication and impact on client.
Ability to create and disseminate updates on latest trends to the team
Attention to detailw.r.t. contract drafting skills, replies etc.
Good analytical skills with ability to compare databases.

Required Skill Set:

Tax Advisory : Provide expert guidance on GST, customs, and other Indirect taxes while identifying tax-saving opportunities.
Compliance : Ensure timely and accurate filing of indirect tax returns and adherence to tax regulations.
Dispute Resolution : Manage audits, notices, and appeals, liaising with tax authorities and legal advisors.
Business Support : Advise on tax implications for contracts, transactions, and business operations.
Process Optimization : Implement systems for compliance and train teams on indirect tax updates.
Regulatory Monitoring : Stay updated on tax law changes and assess their impact on the business.
Travel : Be comfortable traveling for GST litigation, hearings, and related work as required.

Qualification: CA

Experience: Minimum of 2 years Indirect Tax experience
