Roles & Responsibilities

Field Medical Analytics & Medical GTM

  • Lead analytics supporting Field Medical (MSL) effectiveness, including scientific engagement planning, targeting, coverage, and deployment.
  • Design analytics frameworks to support Medical GTM strategies, including launch readiness, scientific platform rollout, and lifecycle management.
  • Evaluate impact of field medical interactions on scientific exchange, perception, and downstream decision-making (within compliance boundaries).
  • Partner with Medical Excellence teams to embed analytics into field medical operating models.

Perception, Congress & Scientific Engagement Analytics

  • Lead perception analytics across key stakeholders (HCPs, payers, thought leaders), integrating qualitative and quantitative data sources.
  • Oversee analytics for medical congresses and scientific meetings, including impact assessment of symposia, booths, publications, and engagements.
  • Apply NLP and AI techniques to unstructured data (e.g., congress feedback, publications, social listening, advisory boards) to derive actionable insights.
  • Translate scientific engagement insights into recommendations for medical strategy and content evolution.

Insights-to-Action & AI Transformation

  • Drive closed-loop insights-to-action frameworks for Medical and Access teams.
  • Lead AI transformation initiatives across Medical Affairs, including predictive analytics, GenAI-enabled knowledge synthesis, and decision support tools.
  • Identify high-value AI use cases while ensuring strong governance, transparency, and compliance.
  • Partner with IT, Digital, and Data Science teams to scale AI solutions into operational workflows.

Medical Evidence Generation Analytics

  • Lead analytics supporting evidence generation strategies, including RWE, observational studies, registries, and publication planning.
  • Develop frameworks to prioritize evidence gaps and assess impact of evidence on clinical guidelines, access decisions, and perception.
  • Support HEOR and Medical teams with advanced analytics to inform study design, site selection, and evidence dissemination strategies.

Market Access Analytics & Reporting

  • Oversee market access analytics spanning payer segmentation, formulary access, coverage, pricing dynamics, and pull-through.
  • Develop dashboards and insights for access performance, stakeholder engagement, and launch readiness.
  • Partner with Market Access and Finance to support scenario modeling, contracting strategies, and value story optimization.
  • Ensure alignment between medical evidence, value narratives, and access strategy.

Leadership, Governance & Capability Building

  • Lead, mentor, and develop analytics talent supporting Medical and Access functions.
  • Establish best practices for analytics governance, data quality, privacy, and compliance.
  • Act as a connector across Medical, Access, Commercial, and Enterprise Analytics teams.
  • Champion a culture of scientific rigor, analytics excellence, and continuous learning.

Skills and Competency

  • Deep understanding of Medical Affairs, Field Medical operations, HEOR, and Market Access.
  • Strong expertise in advanced analytics, AI/ML, NLP, and evidence-driven decision support.
  • Ability to translate complex medical and access data into clear, compliant, and actionable insights.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with ability to influence senior medical and access leaders.
  • High comfort operating in regulated environments with strong ethical judgment.
  • Strategic thinker with hands-on analytical depth and transformation mindset.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Life Sciences, Statistics, Economics, Data Science, or related quantitative field; PhD a plus.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in Medical Affairs analytics, HEOR, Market Access analytics, or related roles within biopharma or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Demonstrated experience leading field medical analytics, evidence generation analytics, and access insights.
  • Hands-on experience with analytics tools (e.g., R, Python, SQL), visualization platforms (e.g., R Shiny, Dash), and unstructured data techniques.
  • Experience working closely with Medical, HEOR, Access, and cross-functional leadership teams.
  • Experience leading teams and influencing across matrixed organizations.
