Job Description
About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic Finance & Accounts professional to lead endtoend controllership, client delivery, and compliance management across multiple portfolios. The role involves setting up finance functions for new clients, driving process excellence, managing teams, and partnering with crossfunctional experts to ensure accurate, timely, and highquality financial outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Finance Controllership & Accounting Oversight
- Set up and streamline the complete accounting & finance function for new and existing clients
- Monitor and review endtoend accounting processes with strong knowledge of IGAAP and IND AS
- Ensure timely monthend closures, reconciliations, and statutory compliances
- Review MIS reports, management dashboards, and finalization of books of accounts
Team Management & Leadership
- Plan, develop, mentor, and train finance team members
- Act as the first point of contact for team/client escalations and drive timely resolution
- Support recruitment and capability building for the team
Client Relationship Management
- Manage client relationships with ownership and accountability
- Resolve escalations, identify root causes, and strengthen delivery frameworks
- Participate in client meetings, reviews, and service excellence initiatives
Compliance, Audit & Stakeholder Coordination
- Liaise with tax, legal, compliance, FEMA, and other SMEs to ensure full regulatory compliance
- Coordinate with statutory auditors and expert teams for seamless audit cycles
- Work closely with legal, compliance, and independence teams for client onboarding and risk checks
Process Improvements & Automation
- Identify automation opportunities and introduce process enhancements to increase efficiency
- Draft and refine SOPs to support large-scale engagements and operational improvements
Business Development
- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to proposal development
- Participate in fee discussions and client negotiations
Skills And Attributes
To qualify for the role, you must have
Qualification
- Qualified Chartered Accountant (CA)
Experience
- 8 years of experience Post completion of CA.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IGAAP/IND AS) and corporate compliance
- Handson experience in client management, escalations, and team leadership
- A processdriven, analytical, and solution-oriented mindset
- Strong communication, stakeholder handling, and problemsolving skills
- Experience in automation or workflow improvement (preferred)
