We're looking for an exceptional and experienced Associate Director - Content to join our dynamic team, reporting directly to the Director - Creative and Content. This is your chance to build, scale, and lead a best-in-class in-house content organization that sets new benchmarks for engagement and effectiveness. You'll be instrumental in shaping PhonePe's narrative across a multitude of digital touchpoints, driving education, adoption, and brand love.

What You'll Lead:

As our Associate Director - Content, you will be responsible for:

• Content Strategy & Execution: Spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive content marketing strategy that aligns with PhonePe's brand vision, business objectives, and growth aspirations across all our ventures.
• Content Marketing Center of Excellence (CoE): Build, manage, and scale an in-house content organization, serving as a Center of Excellence for diverse content types, including:
  • Engaging Blog Posts & Articles: Craft insightful and compelling long-form content that establishes PhonePe as a thought leader.
  • Captivating Videos: Lead the creation of high-quality video content optimized for new media environments – from short-form explainers to brand narratives, demonstrating practitioner expertise in video.
  • SEO-Optimized Pages: Develop and manage content strategies for SEO landing pages, ensuring high organic visibility and relevance.
  • Impactful Product Marketing Content: Create clear, concise, and persuasive content that educates users on product features and benefits, driving adoption.
  • Category Education Initiatives: Simplify complex financial concepts into digestible, user-friendly content, empowering users with knowledge.
• Digital Content Expertise: Demonstrate deep understanding and practitioner experience in digital content across multiple touchpoints, ensuring native digital execution and optimization.
• Team Leadership & Mentorship: Recruit, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of content strategists, writers, video producers, and SEO specialists. Foster a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning, inspiring your team to set new industry standards.
• Brand Voice & Consistency: Ensure a consistent brand voice, tone, and messaging across all content initiatives, aligning with PhonePe's overall brand guidelines.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with Marketing, Product, Growth, and Brand teams to understand their objectives and deliver content solutions that resonate with target audiences and drive measurable results.
• Performance & Optimization: Utilize data and analytics to measure content performance, identify insights, and continuously optimize content strategies for maximum impact and ROI.
• Industry Benchmarking: Stay ahead of the curve on the latest content trends, formats, and distribution channels, continuously challenging the status quo and bringing fresh, innovative ideas to the table.

Who You Are:

• A Content Expert: You bring 15+ years of extensive experience in the content business, with a proven track record of setting new benchmarks in the industry.
• Native Digital Expertise: You possess deep understanding, appreciation, and practitioner experience in digital content across multiple touchpoints. You've lived and breathed digital content strategy and execution.
• Video Speciality for New Media: Significant experience and expertise in video content for new media environments is crucial, demonstrating hands-on knowledge of production, optimization, and distribution for digital platforms.
• A Proven Leader: You have demonstrated experience in successfully building, scaling, and leading high-performing content teams within fast-paced, high-growth environments, ideally in the consumer tech or fintech space.
• Strategic Storyteller: You're a master storyteller, capable of translating complex concepts into clear, engaging, and impactful content that resonates with diverse audiences.
• Data-Driven & Analytical: You are comfortable leveraging data and analytics to inform content strategy, measure performance, and drive continuous improvement.
• Highly Collaborative: You thrive in cross-functional settings, capable of influencing stakeholders and building strong relationships to achieve shared goals.
• Exceptional Communication: You possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
• Academic Background: A Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is required.
