Job Description

Associate Director - Compliance and Employee Relations
The Associate Director – Employee Relations and Compliance is responsible for the developing and implementation of various programs across TIAA GC focused on compliance and governance. This role reports into the Head – Strategy and Governance and is expected to drive Risk, Compliance and ER efforts in partnership with key stakeholders to embed expected values and behaviors.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

  • Design and execute initiatives across TIAA GC that will enable the organization to continually demonstrate values, with specific focus on creating a healthy work environment.
  • Focus on resolving ER concerns in the workplace equitably and participate in managing a work environment that provides fair and consistent treatment to all employees in adherence with TIAA GC policies.
  • Act as a trusted resource for employees to raise concerns, seek advice, and understand their rights and responsibilities.
  • Expertise in handling requirements and committee for the POSH, Transgender Persons and other regulatory Acts.
  • Strong experience in partnering with Legal, Risk and compliance teams to resolve complex and sensitive ER issues.
  • Provide training for managers and employees on ER-related topics such as conflict resolution, communication, and compliance.
  • Maintain detailed records of ER cases, prepare reports on trends, and advise senior management on potential risks.
  • Champion the TIAA Values and Behaviors and implement entity-wide programs to embed them in the cultural fabric of TIAA GC
  • Implementation of HR policies and procedures and monitor compliance with all laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Perform reviews of compliance rules within HR process and systems to ensure outcomes are compliant relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Effectively and regularly focus on risk, controls, assess and manages operational risk and processes to ensure operational controls and business continuity.

Educational Requirements

  • University (Degree) Preferred
