Associate Director - Financial Reporting

Role Purpose -

We are hiring an Associate Director Financial Reporting (Issuing Business). In this role, you will be responsible for leading and managing end-to-end financial reporting for the Issuing Business at Pine Labs, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery of all financial statements and regulatory reporting.

The responsibilities we entrust you with -

• Prepare and review standalone and consolidated financial statements for Indian and global issuing entities in compliance with Ind AS and applicable local regulatory requirements
• Experience in revenue assurance and/or strong working knowledge of Ind AS 115, including assessment of revenue recognition, contract accounting, and compliance with reporting requirements
• Manage statutory and internal audits, ensuring adherence to defined timelines and achievement of clean audit opinions
• Support automation initiatives to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness of financial reporting, including audit support for statutory and internal audits during quarterly closures
• Collaborate closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate maintenance of books, proper recording of financial transactions, and compliance with accounting standards
• Address and resolve auditor queries promptly and effectively to ensure timely audit closure
• Oversee working capital management, ensuring optimization in line with targets set by the corporate team
• Coordinate with local auditors of foreign subsidiaries, ensuring audits are completed accurately and in accordance with group reporting requirements
• Provide financial analysis, guidance, and detailed assessment of financial performance and cash flow health, ensuring insights are aligned with financial reporting and compliance perspectives
• Any ad hoc work assigned from time to time by corporate or senior management

What matters in this role -

• CA with 7 - 8 years experience
• Expert knowledge of accounting procedures and financial reporting practices (India and Global)
• Experience in the fintech domain across issuing and acceptance (prepaid, credit, debit, forex processing, merchant acquiring and payment acceptance) will be a major plus.
• Strong Knowledge of IND AS
• Prior experience working with a Big4 or experience managing Big4 audits for large or multinational organizations
