Associate data scientist - Analytics Track

SoftSensor AI is hiring an Associate Analytics for our Jaipur office. In this role, you will convert data into business decisions through KPI design, reporting automation, dashboarding, and rigorous analysis. You will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and data scientists to ensure metrics are consistent, insights are actionable, and reporting is reliable.

• Define and maintain KPI definitions and metric logic; build single source of truth reporting aligned with stakeholder goals.
• Write production-grade SQL for extracting, transforming, and validating data across multiple sources.
• Develop dashboards and reporting solutions (e.g., Power BI/Tableau or equivalent) that are trusted and used consistently.
• Conduct analytical investigations: funnel analysis, cohort analysis, segmentation, root-cause analysis, and anomaly detection.
• Support experimentation and measurement: interpret A/B tests (or quasi-experiments), measure lift, and recommend actions.
• Automate recurring reporting pipelines using Python where needed (data prep, scheduled outputs, quality checks).
• Communicate insights clearly through concise narratives, visuals, and recommendations for non-technical audiences.
• Follow standards on reproducibility and quality: documentation, version control, peer review, and consistent data definitions.

• Bachelors/Masters in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Economics, or a related quantitative field.
• 02 years of experience in analytics, BI, data reporting, or related roles (internships and strong projects considered).
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with relational data.
• Working proficiency in Python (pandas) for analysis/automation.
• Solid understanding of statistics and measurement (confidence intervals, hypothesis testing, causality pitfalls).
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present insights to stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

• Experience with Power BI/Tableau/Looker, and building semantic layers or standardized metrics.
• Familiarity with dbt, data warehousing concepts, and data quality practices.
• Exposure to cloud data platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
• High academic performance and/or evidence of strong analytical projects.

• Delivered dashboards/insight packs that stakeholders use weekly with clear KPI definitions.
• Reduced manual reporting time via automation and standardized metrics.
• Built credibility through accurate analyses and actionable recommendations.
