Kunal Parekh High School Tours(KPT) is working on behalf of our client,Temple University International Undergraduate Admissions Departmentto appoint an Associate Country Manager based inMumbai, Maharashtra, India
This post will be employed and managed directly by Kunal Parekh High School Tours,Temple University International Undergraduate Admissions Team and the Global Engagement Team
Purpose
The purpose of this role is to work in an Undergraduate Bachelors Degree Program Student Recruitment Managerial Role in growing the existing channels but also to develop new student recruitment channels to achieve set growth targets.
The role will also focus on developing new markets and new recruitment channels within these markets to drive growth across theIndia Market Regionwithin the designated region where identified in agreement with Temple University India Director,Temple University International Undergraduate Admissions Department and the Global Engagement Department.
Supervision Received:Temple University India Director,Temple University International Undergraduate Admissions Department and the Global Engagement Department.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. In conjunction with theTemple UniversityMain Campus International Undergraduate Admissions Department, Global Engagement DepartmentandTemple University India Teamto achieve set enrollment targets within regional responsibility byintake.
2. Regularly Meet & Interact with Prospective Undergraduate Bachelors Degree Program Students, Parents, High Schools, Partner Agencies, Educational Service Providers,Independent Organisations, EducationUSA, US Commercial Servicesamongst other stakeholders to ensure their requirements are consistently met for various parameters such as Program Information, Admission & Scholarship Process & Policies, I-20 Visa Requirements, On-Campus Boarding Activities such as Housing, Meal Plans, WhatsApp Student & Parent Groups amongst others in line with training received.
3. Develop, Manage and Motivate Relationships with Prospective Undergraduate Bachelors Degree Program Students, Parents, High Schools, Partner Agencies, Educational Service Providers,Independent Organisations, EducationUSA, US Commercial Servicesamongst other stakeholders in line with driving university enrolment and brand development within regional responsibility thus ensuring our relationships and engagement with stakeholders is market leading.
4. Establish new channels to grow university enrolment within the designated region
5. Contribute towards the strategic planning of the markets designated, with accountability for achievement of agreed enrolment numbers.
6.Working in Close Coordination withTemple University Main Campus International Undergraduate Admissions Department, Global Engagement Department andTemple University India Teamon Day-to-Day Operations of Student Recruitment Initiatives such as to ensure any progression pipelines are being maximized right from Information Exchange to Application to Enrolment Confirmation and Visa Assistance whereby providingmaximumsupporttoProspective Undergraduate InternationalStudentsyear-roundthroughout theAdmissions &VisaProcess, Designing Coordinating & Executing India Recruitment Travel Plans, Leading Main Campus Team Official Delegations, Training on Program Information especially the Bachelors Degree Program Offerings which are Popular in the India Region, Understanding the Long-term Impact of Career Opportunities provided by Temple Universitys Undergraduate Bachelors Degree Program, Understanding the Diverse Curriculum being offered at Temple University which enables Rich Students Development and other such Important Information Updates along with General Main Campus Information Updates.
7.Working in Close Coordination withTemple University Main Campus International Undergraduate Admissions Department, Global Engagement Department andTemple University India Team for a broad range of initiatives including but not limited to Student Recruitment Initiatives, Signposting Institutional Partnerships with High Schools and Academic Institutions in India & Temple University, developing potential new partnerships when identified accordingly, Faculty & Student Exchange amongst other critical activities.
8. Developing Strong Relationships with Undergraduate Bachelors Degree Program Main Campus Faculty to help identify key areas of Collaboration that enable Faculty to understand the Diverse Student Landscape of India & accordingly plan their Visits to India, which the Associate Country Manager must fully conceptualize, coordinate and execute that will not only enable Student Recruitment Initiatives as well as Positive Student & Faculty Exchange but also have Wider Engagement & Positive Impact for Temple University in the long-term in a rich collectivist culture such as India.
9. The Associate Country Manager must also work closely with the Main CampusInternational Undergraduate Admissions Department, Global Engagement Department andTemple University India Teamfor any Alumni Engagement & Networking Related Activities in Indiaso as to identify Key Alumni from India to network & engage with them year round that will help leverage the robust name of Temple University in Cities across India which will enable strong relationship development in Local Communities leading to Wider Engagement & Positive Impact for Temple University in the long-term in a rich collectivist culture such as India.
10. DevelopPan India Region Recruitment Travel Initiatives that are market driven to support recruitment efforts and objectives.
11.Work to ensure theInternational Undergraduate Admissions Departments Outreach and Marketingefforts are reflective ofthemarket needs.
12.Working closely with High Schools, Partner Agencies, Educational Service Providers,Independent Organisations, EducationUSA, US Commercial Servicesamongst other stakeholders to support growth through varied recruitment channels, including but not limited to, training on academic programs and application and visa processes, exhibition attendance,recruitment visits &action plansetc.
13.Working closely withindustry stakeholders toensure there is clear visibility of activities and projects happening within the region of responsibility to support the objective of developing the university brand and increasing enrolments.
14. Regular competitor analysis to ensureTemple Universitys Undergraduate Student ProgramOfferings, Admissions & Scholarship Policies remain competitive, innovative and in line with the market trends.
15. Under the general supervision of the Temple University India Director, Main CampusInternational Undergraduate Admissions Teamand Global Engagement Team, ensure that all sensitive prospect and applicant data managed by the India Team complies with institutional and US data security policies and privacy laws as per contract between KPT and Temple University.
16. Other duties that are within the scope of the spirit of the job purpose, the title of the post and its grading.
Applicant Requirements:
Applicant must have a Good First Degree (& Higher degree or Professional Management Qualification if possible)
Proven track record of successfully recruiting and operating in the International Higher Education Sector
Experience of working with and recruitingIndianstudentsfor an Overseas Education
Experience of developing overseas student recruitment channels such ashigh schools, colleges,educational agencies, education service providers networksetc.
Must be creative in terms of fresh ideas towards recruitment strategy of the Institution.
Recruitment driven and motivated by a target-based culture with ethical standards.
Self-Starter, quick to take the initiative and spot new opportunities.
Student & Institution focused, capable of delivering results in a cost-effective manner.
Entrepreneurial and innovative with a delivery focus that is customer centric.
Strong Organizational, Planning and Implementation Skills.
Strong Management, and Leadership skills -Must be able to lead projects independently.
Ability to speak a second language appropriate to the Region.
Skilled Negotiator in range of situations when working with Students, Parents, High Schools, Educational Companies etc.
Strong Customer focus committed to ensuring delivery of excellent industry leading service standards.
Candidate must demonstrate excellent public speaking skills with the ability to lead & navigate a dynamic number of settings ranging from Student Recruitment Presentations to Meetings at University Visits and Conferences with Industry Stakeholders to hosting and leading Main Campus Delegation Visits to India among other such important diverse settings.
Candidate must demonstrate rich networking skills that will help in building relationships and leveraging networks with people from a range of backgrounds and cultures which will enable the Institutions robust long-term development in a key market such as India.
Candidate Must Act as an Ambassador for the Institution with the Main Campus Teams & Externally in the India Market Region with all Stakeholders.
Candidate Must Demonstrate Savviness and Budget Management with Planning, Booking and Executing their Outreach Travel Plans within India
Domestic Travel (Regular Monthly)
Applicant must have Excellent English skills - Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing.
