About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced DevOps Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join our growing team. You will play a pivotal role in driving the adoption and innovation of our DevOps practices. With a deep understanding of cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure automation, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the DevOps tools. Transition, Transformation and management of DevOps Tools.
Responsibilities:
Design & implementation of CI/CD pipelines leveraging tools like Jenkins, Github Actions, Azure DevOps, and Gitlab.
Design & Implement Infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and Ansible for provisioning and managing cloud resources across GCP and other platforms.
Automated build and deployment processes using tools like Packer for creating consistent and reusable container & operating system images.
Efficient use of python and shell scripting for automation
Troubleshoot and optimize existing DevOps workflows to identify bottlenecks and implement improvements for enhanced performance and efficiency.
Troubleshoot issues related to CI/CD pipelines, IaC configurations, and deployments on GCP services like GCE, Cloud SQL, GKE, pub/sub, cloud functions, and Cloud Run.
Lead the transition and transformation of existing DevOps infrastructure/platform/tools.
Develop and implement best practices for continuous improvement of DevOps toolchain.
Mentor and guide core delivery and operations teams on effective utilization of DevOps tools and methodologies.
Stay up-to-date on the latest trends and technologies in the DevOps landscape and provide recommendations for adoption and improvements.
Work closely with GCP Architects and SMEs, and security teams for development
Development of reusable and repeatable assets.
Qualifications:
Minimum 5+ years of experience in cloud computing and DevOps methodologies.
Minimum 3+ years of experience working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Proven experience in designing, implementing, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps, Github Actions, or Gitlab.
In-depth knowledge of infrastructure automation tools such as Terraform and Ansible.
In-depth knowledge of GKE & K8S for application/service deployment and management
Working knowledge of containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and container image creation tools (e.g., Packer).
Experience with code quality management tools like SonarQube.
Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
Preferred Experience:
Design and develop reusable Terraform modules for provisioning and managing GCP resources (e.g., compute instances, Cloud Storage buckets, Cloud SQL databases, GKE, Cloud Run).
Utilize Ansible playbooks to automate configuration management tasks for cloud infrastructure and applications deployed on GCP.
Integrate Terraform and Ansible workflows within CI/CD pipelines for automated infrastructure and application provisioning.
Conduct code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices for Terraform and Ansible configurations.
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD features for:
Running unit tests and integration tests.
Building and packaging applications.
Deploying applications to GCP environments (e.g., GKE, Cloud Run).
Configure workflows to trigger on code changes, scheduled events, or manual triggers.
Leverage GitHub Actions or GitLab CI/CD features for secret management and secure deployment practices and use of GitOps practices.
Design and manage deployments of containerized applications on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters using Terraform or Ansible.
