Associate AI ML Engineer

Your Team Responsibilities

• Architect, build, and maintain scalable AI/ML and GenAI solutions for enterprise applications.
• Actively contribute to AI strategy and roadmap in collaboration with leadership and product teams.
• Ensure robustness, reliability, and optimization of production-grade data pipelines and ML systems.
• Drive end-to-end AI/ML lifecycle from ideation to deployment and monitoring.

Your Key Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Delivering new functionality by writing and shipping high quality code for AI systems meeting the MSCI requirements.
• Fine tune, train and deploy large language models to either cloud platform.
• Develop new agentic systems, applying various patterns such as RAG, ReACT, Reasoning and hierarchical agents.
• Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Design and implementation of continuous integration and deployment.
• Monitor and optimize application performance.
• Problem solving with alternative approaches and in collaboration with Business Stakeholders, Quality Assurance, Data Operation and IT Infrastructure on all stages of software development life cycle.
• Encourages innovation and best practices
• Following Agile methodology

Delivered Work Items accepted by MSCI if :

• all code is free of any major or critical code issues
• all code has been reviewed (or pair programmed);
• all code is unit quality assured and tested and accepted by MSCI
• all coding standards have been met, and code has been re-factored where necessary;
• everything is documented properly in Jira and in Confluence/Wiki tools (per guidance from MSCI when required)
• the scope of tests to be conducted and passed (e.g. user acceptance tests and non-functional tests);

Your skills and experience that will help you excel

Tech Skills:

• Must to Have Technical Skillsets 4-5 years of experience:
• Python, Gen AI, Vector Databases, Familiarity with either Azure or Google Cloud Platform, Kubernetes,
• Azure Devops for CI/CD
• Good to Have Technical Skillsets
• Java, LoRA, Milvus, Vertex AI, Langchain/ADK,

Soft skills:

• work independently on their assigned tasks
• take complete ownership over until the assigned feature is developed, tested, accepted and deployed in line with the terms of actual sprint’s Definition of Done
• understand MSCI AI technology stack
• conduct end to end development work
• take decisions alone
• communicate effectively with the internal and external stakeholder to understand the problem
• able to estimate the scope
• conduct successful unit tests, Jira testing, integration testing, load testing (whenever applicable), regression testing before production release
• code in line with MSCI best practices for python coding, defined on MSCI internal site
• bring innovative ideas in for platform/process improvement and optimizations
• be proactive and available
• maintain, refresh the MSCI knowledge repository) on MSCI bodhi page (internal site) for the purpose of enhancing the documentation, sharing knowledge, reducing the number of repetitive questions, supporting resource onboarding and training existing team.
